The researcher of the Psyche & Society group of the María Cano University Foundation and editor of the Health Sciences Research and Innovation Journal – RIICS, Fraidy Alonso Alzate Pamplona, MSc., recently published the article entitled: «A review and p- curve analysis of research on the menstrual cycle correlates of consumer preferences and economic decisions» in the prestigious journal Hormones and Behavior, a journal specialized in the investigation of hormone-brain-behavior relationships.
In this study, a narrative review of the literature, the available evidence on the effect of changes in the hormonal cycles of estrogen and progesterone on consumer behavior and financial decisions is analyzed.
