    Professional profile

    The Nutrition and Dietetics professional graduated from María Cano will be characterized by being a citizen with an ethical, responsible and reflective attitude towards the consequences and incidents of their professional actions; leader in the implementation of actions that promote the defense of the human right to adequate food and nutrition of individuals and communities, especially the elderly and people with disabilities; with a high capacity for resilience and interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary and team work; good command of a second language, technological knowledge and attitude towards innovation and entrepreneurship. They will have skills and competencies to understand nutrition and its relationship with states of health and well-being together with its determinants as dynamic processes that define the nutritional and development status of people or groups of people, enabling them to be and be part of a interdisciplinary team in professional performance scenarios such as health, education, work, community, academic and research; where the use of technology and the processes of inclusion and social transformation transversalize their work.

    Occupational profile

    The Dietitian Nutritionist of the María Cano University Foundation will be a professional with sufficient skills, abilities and attitudes to identify the nutritional needs of the population, evaluate the nutritional status of people according to the course of life and make the appropriate recommendations for the individuals and communities. May work in the field of collective catering services, provide comprehensive care to the population, especially vulnerable groups such as pregnant women, lactating women, children under 6 years of age, the elderly and people with disabilities; through the promotion of healthy eating habits and lifestyles. In addition, it focuses on the therapeutic diet and nutritional treatment of patients with chronic health conditions such as obesity, diabetes, arterial hypertension, dyslipidemia, and renal failure, among others.

    Admission requirements:

    1. Enter www.fumc.edu.co click on the admissions button, select undergraduate registration according to the required modality and fill out the online registration form.
    2. At the end of the registration form, upload the following documents in pdf format to the platform:
    Authenticated photocopy of the baccalaureate degree certificate or diploma, if you have not yet completed grade 11, original study certificate, issued by the school with a validity of no more than one month.
    Results of the ICFES tests (Saber 11)
    A legible photocopy of the identity document (enlarged).
    One 3×4 size photo, light blue background.
    Documents are not received physically unless they are required during the admission process.
    3. At the end of the online registration, Print the payment form or make the payment through PSE.
    4. Present virtual interview.
    5. Check the list of admitted candidates published on the institutional portal or go to the Admissions Office.
