Officialization and start of the seedbed «Sumando y Contando» with international participation

The Faculty of Business Sciences celebrates the formal start of internationalization activities in the Sumando y Contando seedbed, which is attached to the SUMAR research group, this seedbed is led by Professor of Business Administration Natalia Isabel Jaramillo and Professor Yonny Grajales of the Public Accounting program. Within the framework of the activities of the seedbed, the following stand out:
- Participation of undergraduate seed students from the Faculty of Business Sciences of María Cano and students of the Bachelor of Administration of the Technological Institute of Sonora, ITSON, Mexico: students from both countries will work together on related projects.
- Participation of seed students from ITSON’s Master’s in Business Administration and Development.
- Participation of seed professors from both institutions (María Cano and ITSON).
- Participation of SENA by raising awareness and training seed farmers, which is the result of the management of Sara Melguizo, who is the Coordinator of the María Cano Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit, under the SENA – María Cano agreement (led by the vice-chancellor extension and social projection).
- Training for seed students, by ITSON, in the methodology of Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), which is an approach that, as part of its class, connects students and teachers from different cultures to learn, discuss and collaborate with each other.
Also, in joint work with ITSON, the directors of the Business Administration programs, Víctor Hugo Monsalve Manco, and Public Accounting, Elkin Antonio Restrepo Escobar, with the leadership of the Dean of the Faculty of Business Sciences, Marco Antonio Ruiz Correa, and her peers from ITSON, advance in the consolidation of the double degree María Cano – ITSON.
Finally, Professor Ricardo León Sánchez Arenas, was invited to participate as co-director of the Master’s work «Analysis of the quality of working life in a higher education institution in southern Sonora, through artificial neural networks» of the student of the Master’s in Business Administration and Development from ITSON.
All of these are initiatives that contribute to the internationalization of the Faculty of Business Sciences. #MásMaríaCano
