Professor Mariutsi Alexandra Osorio Sanabria, linked to the Software Engineering program of the María Cano University Foundation at the Medellín campus, participated as an expert in open infrastructures in the First National Open Science Dialogues organized by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, within the framework of the national open science policy approved in 2022. During the stay, the professor made recommendations related to open research data, this being one of the challenges for the different actors of the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation. On the other hand, it managed to strengthen cooperation alliances with the community that works in open science at a national and Latin American level.

The main objective of the First National Open Science Dialogues was: «Identify the installed capacities, challenges and proposals to recognize and implement the National Open Science Policy 2022-2031 in Colombia, through dialogues that enable an opening for the development and execution of the different scientific activities that guarantee that the data and their results are available to all members of society».

The academic strategy of the dialogues was aimed at all the actors of the National Science, Technology and Innovation System, decision makers, formulators of institutional research or financing policies, information managers, librarians, unions, associations and companies from the various sectors. economic and social stakeholders interested in the implementation of the Open Science Policy.
