Outstanding sports participation María Cano

The María Cano University Foundation continues to consolidate its presence in different scenarios at the national level, where athletes in different disciplines leave high the commitment to the training provided by the Institutional Well-being area. This is how participation in the second Uninavarra 2023 University Sports Olympics was advanced, obtaining first place in the modality of women’s futsal and women’s 3×3 basketball, leaving the name of the Institution high and demonstrating its leadership capacity and the discipline that have acquired through sports practice.
The Institution also participated in the ASCUN Regional University Sports Games Deportes Nodo Antioquia, where individual sports continue to leave high the name of María Cano, obtaining several medals and qualifying for the next ASCUN National University Games to be held in the second semester of 2023 in the city of Bogotá. Natalia Ruiz López and Camila Giraldo, students of the sixth semester of the Physiotherapy program, achieved the runner-up in the underwater swimming modality and direct classification to the next National University Games, Natalia obtained two gold medals and a silver medal, while Camila , with his representation, managed to enter the select group of classified athletes.
For her part, Yulissa Angulo Ruiz, a student of the Physiotherapy program, is part of the 18 best athletes in the city of Medellín, in the table tennis modality, who qualified for the next National University Games.
Cristian Camilo Echeverry Giraldo, student of the second semester of the Physiotherapy program, obtained a gold medal in Taekwondo in the combat modality + 87 kilograms, while Felipe Aldana Valencia and Yulieth Romero Camaño, students of the Physiotherapy program, obtained a silver medal in Taekwondo in the Poomsae Couples modality.
