Participation in academic and scientific events of Speech Therapy

As part of the commitment to the dissemination and dissemination of the research generated by the Speech Therapy program of the María Cano University Foundation, which contributes to the understanding of the object of study and to generate an impact on the communicative well-being of individuals, social groups and collectives During this week the students and research professors had relevant participation in national international events.
V Argentine International and Interdisciplinary Dysphagia Congress
The important participation as speakers of the Speech Therapy students who are studying the Diploma in Dysphagia with a title option in this international event is highlighted with the project «Classification of the level of risk due to functional swallowing errors» prepared by the students Angélica Cely Arboleda, Diego Alejandro Vélez Gutiérrez, Juliza Tatiana Suárez Patarroyo and advised by Professor Miguel Antonio Vargas.
VIII National Meeting and V International Research on Speech Therapy: ‘Trends and challenges, where is the pandemic taking us?’
This November 26 and 27 was held this space in which national and international speakers from the area of Speech Therapy participated. In other words, researchers in the field of human communication – and its disorders – exchanged experiences and knowledge that contribute to the understanding of the object of study, socializing the processes generated in the different performance scenarios and establishing the importance of the profession, in relation to the challenges brought by the new perspective on health, well-being and quality of life.
The María Cano University Foundation was present at this event with the participation of three professors and researchers from the speech therapy program with three presentations:
- Adriana Marcela Rojas Gi: The education of the Deaf user of the LSC: Dialogue reflections, results of inter-institutional research between the María Cano University Foundation, Universidad del Valle and the Iberoamerican University Corporation.
- Andrés Fernando Delprado: Voice Conservation Program at the María Cano University Foundation.
- María Tatiana Ramírez Lozano: Augmentative and alternative communication in the realization of individual plans of reasonable accommodation (PIAR) for elementary schools.
We thank the students and teachers for their excellent representation and their commitment to the development of Speech Therapy.
