With the purpose of contributing to the development of education in the country, the María Cano Foundation, Cali headquarters, participated in the Great Forum: «The Future of Education in Colombia», which was held in the capital of Valle del Cauca and which had the support of the PRISA Group, the Organization of Ibero-American States – OEI and the Ministry of National Education, represented by Minister Aurora Vergara Figueroa and the head of the Office of Educational Innovation, Liliana Guaca. During the second day of the event, different experiences and proposals were presented to strengthen educational policies that guarantee quality and inclusive education for all Colombians.

In academic activity, the Minister of Education highlighted the importance of restoring dignity through education, highlighting that during her tenure at the head of the portfolio she has traveled to different regions of the country and has found the protagonists in boys, girls and young people. of innovative initiatives that are transforming education and promoting the participation of all actors in the construction of a more just future.

Within the framework of the forum in the city of Cali, the main challenges facing the education sector at different levels were defined: coverage, modalities, quality, digitalized learning environment, teamwork and the sustainability of the sector.
