EDUTIC is a community that generates collaboration spaces for the strengthening of education, has more than 15 years of experience and focuses on technology-supported management. Within the activities of the community, the 3rd Online EDUTIC Congress was held on May 10, 11 and 12, 2022. This Congress is considered the most important in Latin America and «seeks to establish a meeting point for all the actors involved in education, to share experiences and reflect on the challenges and possibilities that the new virtual reality has opened up”.

The submission of papers was focused on the topics of International Quality, Teaching, LifeLong Learning, Student Experience, Innovation and Transfer, and Secondary Education. In this version, María Cano was represented by the head of virtuality Claudia Patricia Vásquez Lopera, who presented the paper «Use and appropriation of ICT in María Cano» in the thematic axis of Teaching, in the Education Tracks of May 10 .

This presentation presented the experience of María Cano through the Mariacanovirtual strategy and the projects that have been developed within the framework of the Institution’s Model of pedagogical mediation with the use of ICT. The results obtained in the use and appropriation of ICT for teaching, research and Extension from 2018 to 2021 were presented.
Specifically, aspects such as:

• The induction course that students take in the use of resources and activities in a Virtual Learning Environment, which has been transformed into a self-study course with the option of automatic certification.
• The implementation of the line of training in the use and appropriation of ICT for teachers.
• The creation of support classrooms and their impact on the continuity of academic activities during the health contingency by Covid-19, in addition to the institutionalization of Resolution 860 of 2018 for the use of support classrooms for all face-to-face courses of the Institution and the statistics on the increase in classrooms, connections and active users from 2018 to 2021.
• The quality criteria for the use of classrooms in Mariacanovirtual during the development phases of the subject and the accompaniment made by the mentor in his role as a link with Virtualidad.
• The virtual academic offer for face-to-face programs that is part of one of the academic flexibility options (bimodality).
• Statistics and production of Digital Educational Resources under Creative Commons licenses.
• The presentation of the YouTube channel as one of the video publication spaces with its viewing statistics and access from different countries.
• The products and strategies that Mariacanovirtual supports for the academic and administrative areas of the Institution.

Undoubtedly, these spaces for academic participation strengthen the visibility of the Institution and allow us to learn from other experts and institutions in the different significant experiences they have had with the use of ICT.

Due to the approval of the presentation, there was a free invitation for the assistance of some Mariacanovirtual collaborators, who took advantage of the academic spaces of this congress to learn about other experiences that contribute to the knowledge of the team.
