The Speech Therapy program of the María Cano University Foundation, Medellín campus, participated in the event led by the mayor’s office of the Antioquia capital, through the Ministry of Health, IV Research Symposium, in which advances and research results were presented carried out by different academic groups and researchers from the city, the region and the country, related to health and its determinants, in order to provide elements that enrich knowledge in the construction of intervention strategies to address health problems in the community. population of the city, which can be developed within the framework of the Territorial Health Plan 2020 – 2023, and as a contribution to the construction of the new Ten-Year Public Health Plan 2022 – 2031.

Present for María Cano were the professor and researcher Mary Luz Osorio Montoya and the students Mariam Puerta and Camila Pulgarín from the speech therapy program. with the presentation was called: «Model to achieve effective communication management between administrative and collaborators in organizations: case, Fundación Universitaria María Cano», which is derived from an innovation product in business management which was carried out with the interest of promoting comprehensive communicative health in organizations by the speech therapist.

The representation of the institution was very well received for its relevance, contribution to the well-being of the community and rigor in the investigative process, which allowed contact with Mr. Luis Augusto Hurtado Carvajal, Leader of the sector planning program, social participation and participatory proposal of the Ministry of Health of Medellín to carry out joint actions in research and social projection in favor of the city’s communes.
