Professor Mariutsi Alexandra Osorio Sanabria, affiliated with the Software Engineering program at María Cano, participated in the panel «Agreements on the Essentials of Research Data» and in the Doathon on research data policies at the II Meeting of Institutional Repository Managers of Colombia and Open Science – ERICCA 2024, given her experience and background in managing research data and open data in Higher Education Institutions.

This event provided an opportunity for researchers, institutional repository managers, and other professionals to come together and discuss ways to promote the democratization of knowledge and open science in Colombia. The event took place at the University of Cartagena from September 25 to 27, 2024, and was led by the Colombian Network of Scientific Information of the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation – MinCiencias.

During the panel, Dr. Mariutsi Osorio discussed strategies and recommendations with her peers on how institutional repository managers can advance in the era of open research data. She also shared her thoughts on how these strategies can be addressed and contribute to promoting open science in Colombia.
