Popayán headquarters socializes the projects of its academic programs

The Physiotherapy and Speech Therapy programs at the Popayán campus carried out the Conference «Project yourself: Socialization of classroom projects as a pedagogical strategy for physiotherapy and speech therapy», corresponding to the first academic period of 2021, with the participation of the entire academic community. In this important event, the different projects carried out by the students and their teachers in the classroom, the results of the research seedbeds and the successful practical experiences in the last semesters were presented.
This space, which highlights the importance of generating didactic and dynamic strategies, to encourage research interest, has become a valuable opportunity for the dissemination of the work carried out throughout the semester, promoting academic, investigative and practical skills, in addition of teamwork, the development of soft skills and communication in favor of the strengthening of institutional values and philosophy.
On this occasion, 19 classroom projects participated, at the research level: 5 projects from the SIF 2 seedbed, 4 projects from the SIBITEC seedbed, and 2 from the GISEFI seedbed, and in practice, 3 successful experiences, with more than 200 attendees . A very special congratulations to the entire academic community for such valuable work, and especially to the winners of the day, recognized by voting by the community itself:
- At the classroom projects level: Augmentative and alternative communication systems, first semester of the Speech Therapy Program, with teacher Laura Trujillo.
- In physiotherapy: Physiotherapeutic intervention in the adult patient with brain damage in the sixth semester, teacher Leila Rosmery Imbachi and Physiotherapeutic Approach Techniques in Masotherapy of the seventh semester, teacher Jesús David Perafán.
- At the research seedbed level: Communication disorders in Alzheimer’s patients in the first semester of speech therapy in students: Briyith Ospina Velasco, María Gabriela Salcedo and Alejandra Elizabeth Rosas and teacher Elizabeth Roldán.
- On a successful practice level: Health education for practice vaccination I, teacher Angela Giovana Caicedo.
