Preliminary results call N.894 MINCIENCIAS

Excellent news for researchers #MásMaríaCano, given the results of call No. 894 carried out by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation – MINCIENCIAS, through which the last measurement was made for the classification of research groups, technological development or of innovation and for the recognition of researchers of the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation – SNCTI 2021. In the publication of the preliminary results, which took place on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, it is evident, stability, growth and consolidation of the research groups and researchers.
The call was addressed to:
- Colombian people who have a legal, regulatory or contractual link with Colombian institutions that are part of the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation.
- Foreign persons residing in Colombia, who have a legal, regulatory or contractual relationship with Colombian institutions that are part of the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation.
- Colombian people residing outside of Colombia (Diaspora) who develop CTeI activities, with CvLAC certified and registered for the Call process.
- Colombian Research, Technological Development or Innovation groups that are endorsed by any institution, entity or legal person in Colombia that executes Science, Technology and Innovation activities.
The María Cano University Foundation, with its research groups and researchers in Medellín, Cali, Neiva and Popayán, achieved the following results:

As can be seen, there was a significant increase, quantitatively and qualitatively, in terms of the recognition of the researchers from the María Cano University Foundation in the four MISCIENCES categories. In addition to increasing the number of recognized researchers, in call No. 894 of 2021 vs. call No. 833 of 2018, the categorization of many of the teachers was improved. All this is evidence of the commitment of the Institution, through its groups and researchers, with the substantive and missionary process of research, with social and academic relevance.
