Present at the V National Skating Festival of the Speed Roller Sports Club

The students of the María Cano Physiotherapy program in the city of Cali, who are in the period of sports practice II, provided support to the athletes participating in the V National Skating Festival organized by the Speed Roller Sports Club, located in the village of Villagorgona, in the municipality of Candelaria, in Valle del Cauca; in order to provide support to the skaters, before and after, the competitions held in this sporting event.
The young members of the #MásMaríaCano community accompanied the skaters, strengthening and sharing the knowledge obtained in the development of their theoretical-practical stage. During the activity, support was provided in carrying out the physical activity corresponding to the practices that the competitors had to carry out, directing exercises that allow the intensity of the effort made by the body to be progressively reduced in response to the demands of physical exercise.
Collaborators from the Cali headquarters also participated in the activity, through a social projection work with the skaters participating in the activity and the population of the municipality of Candelaria present at the V National Skating Festival. The María Cano University Foundation carries out social accompaniments in which it provides all the information regarding institutional programs, the benefits of being part of the academic training and the opportunities that students have to successfully complete their undergraduate and postgraduate programs successfully. , in order to encourage young people from the different sectors of Valle del Cauca to continue their university studies and fulfill their goals and life projects.
During the activity, which was great, it was possible to provide support with physiotherapeutic practices to approximately 60 athletes who, with the help of the students of the María Cano University Foundation, managed to complete their skills minimizing the risk of suffering an injury.
