The María Cano University Foundation, with its Faculties of Business Sciences, Health Sciences and Engineering; present at the Fair «Road to higher education, promotion of employability and entrepreneurship in the Province of Cártama» that takes place between August 31 and September 1. The province of Cártama is made up of 11 municipalities in the southwest Antioquia: Fredonia, Venecia, Jericó, Támesis, La Pintada, Valparaíso, Caramanta, Tarso, Pueblorrico, Montebello and Santa Bárbara This is an opportunity to make the academic proposal visible to the community, share experiences and knowledge with 1,200 young people from the region.

One of the priorities in the province is to contribute to social development and better conditions for young people through education, employment or entrepreneurship. As organizing entities and contributors to the development of this fair is the Gilberto Echeverri Mejía Corporation, the Secretary of Education of the Government of Antioquia, the Semillas de Cartama strategy, which is made up of foundations and private companies that contribute to education in the territory, State Company University Committee, with its higher education table, public entities and department education. In turn, the municipal administrations of the 11 municipalities have been linked, as well as higher education institutions of the department of Antioquia.

The María Cano University Foundation is committed to the academic training of young people from the southwestern Antioquia subregion and it is for this reason that it is present in this important activity accompanied by eight professors from the faculties of Health Sciences, Business Sciences and Engineering, where the differentiating factors of the academic programs are made known, through experiences and workshops for the entire community.
