The María Cano University Foundation, Popayán headquarters, through its coordinator in the capital of Cauca, Angélica María Zuluaga Calle, participated in the inauguration and start-up of the new ICETEX Face-to-Face Experience Center and the entity’s Services Fair, which seeks to strengthen the service offered by this institution in the accompaniment of students from the southwest of Colombia so that they can access undergraduate and graduate programs, which prepare them for service to the community in times of reactivation of the different sectors of the economy and organizational life in the country.

ICETEX users, with this new service proposal, will be able to access services such as guidance in the solution of procedures, accompaniment in the processes of educational credits at different levels of training, learn about calls for scholarships, support, subsidies, scholarships, alliances, internships and national and international exchanges and solution to the situations presented by the covid-19 that affect the training processes of the community.

«ICETEX is a State entity that promotes Higher Education through the granting of educational credits and their collection, with its own resources or from third parties, to the population with fewer economic possibilities and good academic performance. Likewise, it facilitates access to the educational opportunities offered by the international community to raise the quality of life of Colombians and thus contribute to the economic and social development of the country. » The management in favor of quality education for the entire community has allowed, for more than seventy years, the entrance to different educational forms, mainly in strata 1, 2 and 3 of the population, to raise the quality of life of Colombians and transform development opportunities for these people and their families, contributing to the economic and social development of the country.
