Led by Neiva headquarters: Professional conference on neurocognitive rehabilitation

On June 22 at 2:00 p.m. Colombia, an online conference will be held organized by the School of Physiotherapy of the María Cano University Foundation, Neiva headquarters, Stroke Therapy Revolution and the Neurocognitive Academy, called “2nd Edition of Neuroplasticity, Rehabilitation Neurocognitive and Telerehabilitation ”. The purpose is to contribute to the training of students and professionals such as Physiotherapists, Kinesiologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists, Neuropsychologists, Doctors and Neurorehabilitators from Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe. The broadcast projects a connection of some 5,000 participants where the speaker will be the renowned Italian specialist in neurocognitive rehabilitation in patients with brain injury and director of the Neurocognitive Academy Dr. Valerio Sarmati.
Dr. Sarmati is also a Ceo in the Stroke therapy revolution telerehabilitation clinic, he was a student of Carlo Perfetti father of Neurocognitive theory, he has been a Professor of Rehabilitation Methodology at the «Catholic University of the Sacred Heart» ROME (2007-08) and since 2011 he is Professor of Neurotraumatological Rehabilitation at La Sapienza University, Rome. He points out that since the start of the pandemic generated by covid-19, causing the closure of universities as a preventive measure, they have held a series of conferences with Latin American university institutions to offer the community access to this field of scientific study from their homes and at no cost.
The conference will last approximately 2, 30 hours, and it will include a participation certificate once the participant approves a post-activity evaluation endorsed by the School of Physiotherapy of the Fundación Universitaria María Cano Sede Neiva, Stroke Therapy Revolution and the Neurocognitive Academy.
