- 2 diciembre, 2021

The professors of the Psychology program of the María Cano University Foundation, Ximena Yadira Perdomo and Alexander Arango, belonging to the Psique & Sociedad research group, have published the results of their research in the article entitled “Effects of psychoanalytic-oriented therapeutic intervention in children with ADHD ”, from the AFFECTIO SOCIETATIS magazine of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the University of Antioquia.
This article analyzes the diagnosis of hyperactivity in children, considering bets other than psychopharmacological to give rise to words, games and other strategies based on the symbolic, from which some therapists privilege the language and subjectivity of each child to achieve some therapeutic effects.
From psychoanalytic research, it is understood that the child diagnosed with ADHD can order his psyche involving his body, the image of himself and the signifiers that language gives him to achieve a regulation of what pushes him to hyperactivity; therefore, in psychotherapeutic intervention, words, games, and drawings are privileged, among other strategies that are based on the symbolic and not so much on the psychopharmacological.
The editorial policy of the journal consists of the dissemination of academic articles on topics concerning the theoretical-clinical field of psychoanalysis, and its dialogue with other disciplines, which contribute to its permanent and necessary transformation, thanks to the intersection between its practice and the problems of each era.
