The Guillermo Valencia Municipal Theater, in the capital of Cauca, was the setting to celebrate the graduation of thirty-two physiotherapists, four specialists in public health, three specialists in occupational health and a specialist in health services administration. The act was framed in the recognition given to new professionals and specialists for the effort made to successfully complete their studies, given the challenges that have arisen in recent years. It is important to highlight that the María Cano southwest of Colombia is present with a complete academic offer in undergraduate and postgraduate courses in face-to-face and virtual modalities, which positions the Institution as one of the main options for higher education in this important department of Colombia.

The rector Hugo Alberto Valencia Porras, who presided over the ceremony, expressed in his words of congratulations the need to always continue updating knowledge: «Academic training must never stop, the training process must be continuous, throughout life and they must always dream of improving themselves, acquiring new skills and specialties.Competences and knowledge are not static, but are built and developed through practice, it is a permanent learning process to obtain higher and higher levels of performance high, because it is very important that you today as professionals continue your training process, disciplinary and pedagogical updating to always be at the forefront of knowledge and make a difference as excellent people and professionals.You cannot forget to be great human beings, excellent citizens , upright, honest, transparent, impeccable people, who respect their word, who listen uchan, an excellent person, happy, because happiness, like love, is a decision; who looks and treats others with respect, with principles, with values, ethical in his work, in all his actions, who can always look into the eyes and with his head held high, who puts himself in the other’s shoes, and May your heart and reason be part of your decisions».
