Qualified Registration Visit for the Psychology program

The María Cano University Foundation receives the visit of the academic peers for the renewal of the qualified registration in the Psychology program under the unique registration in the face-to-face and virtual modality. The visiting academic peers are: Jorge Enrique Chacón Afanador, Master in Philosophy, Academic and Research Coordinator of the Psychology program and professor at the University of Santander (2007 to date) in the city of Bucaramanga. He has studies in psychopathology and clinical structures, theory, methods and techniques of social research and in sexual education and affective processes. In addition, with complementary training in Induction to Academic peers in the Ministry of Education of Colombia. Mr. Oscar Iván Gómez Rincón, Academic Peer, is also present. He has a Master’s in Education, with a mention in university teaching and research, Specialist in University Teaching and a Psychologist by profession. Currently Dean of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences of the Ibero-American University Corporation in the city of Bogotá.
For two days, the representatives of the Ministry of Education will analyze topics such as: Presentation of the denomination, justification of the program and curricular aspects, organization of academic activities and the training process, research, innovation and artistic creation, presentation of the relationship with the external sector, presentation of professors, presentation of educational media, technological infrastructure, physical infrastructure, financial viability of the program and meetings with graduates, students, teachers and the external sector. The single registration, in the face-to-face and virtual modality, will allow to encourage flexibility and mobility, regionalization and the development of learning routes.
The visit that will focus on decree 1330 of 2019, which regulates the processes of qualified registration and academic quality of Higher Education Institutions in Colombia, to consolidate a vision of quality that responds to social, cultural and environmental demands, in the which recognizes the diversity of HEIs, their nature and their institutional objectives in a differentiated way, harmonizing the insurance model that the country has with international standards; is received by the rector Hugo Alberto Valencia Porras, the Institution’s Vice-rectors, the Quality Planning Directorate, the Self-Assessment Coordination, the Deanship of Health Sciences, the Program Directorate and the other institutional directives that lead the different subsystems of support.
