Quality practices in internationalization in Business Administration
- 4 noviembre, 2021

The Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI), the International Institute for Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (IESALC) – UNESCO, the Regional Conference on Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean ( CRES), the Autonomous University of Bucaramanga in Colombia – UNAB – and the Ibero-American Chair of Education OEI-UAH of the University of Alcalá in Spain, with the Colombian Association of Universities (ASCUN), have just recognized, as a good quality practice in internationalization, the work being carried out by professors Ricardo León Sánchez Arenas from the María Cano Business Administration program and Jorge Guadalupe Mendoza León from the Technological Institute of Sonora – ITSON; Mexico.
Among the good practices developed by the professors, the following stand out: face-to-face and virtual mobility, research production with the writing of two book chapters resulting from research in recognized publishers, the holding of two international research events, in which Professors and students from both institutions participated, mirror classes and participation as speakers in other events.
For this call, a total of 84 proposals were presented at the national level, which were evaluated by a scientific committee made up of experts from 3 countries, based on objective criteria, the proposal of both professors was selected as a good internationalization practice.
This process will be presented and will be presented by professors Ricardo Sánchez and Jorge Mendoza at the III Meeting of Good Practices in Internationalization of Higher Education, which is an initiative of the Colombian Network for the Internationalization of Higher Education (Red Assigned to ASCUN) , which has two previous versions; the first was held in March 2019 and the second, in June 2020. These meetings have had the participation of IES from different cities of the country.
The purpose of the event is to generate a space for the socialization of good practices and significant experiences in the internationalization process, for the administrative and academic communities of the HEIs.
Good Practices constitute a documented institutional experience, which respond to specific needs and objectives, and which, due to the results achieved, has proven to be effective in improving or refining a given context, allowing it to be replicated in other settings.
This third version, which will be carried out in virtual format, preserves the purpose of generating a space for the dissemination of good experiences in internationalization, favoring replicability, monitoring and sustainability in other HEIs. This year, the Ibero-American Manual of Good Practices in Internationalization of the Organization of Ibero-American States – OEI has been taken as a baseline.
These high-impact initiatives leave the Business Administration program high in the internationalization process.
