Realization of the Quick Inn Virtual 2021 MEUNE

An event led by the University Board of Entrepreneurship and Innovation with the support of the María Cano Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit, which aimed to integrate the Higher Education Institutions of the Aburrá Valley through a practical and interactive exercise in the Training for students and graduates of the HEIs linked to the table were addressed to add value to the participants in an environment of co-creation and collective learning that strengthens their soft skills. The Virtual Quick Inn 2021 was born from the need to promote scenarios that allow the participation of students in activities that promote the culture of entrepreneurship and innovation in the city, in an academic and training space that seeks to create a reflective exchange of knowledge for the solution to environmental problems, in which participants, from different areas of knowledge and different institutions work together.
For this version, 30 students from the different institutions that are part of MEUNE participated, during a single virtual day developed between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. under a camping methodology based on two main activities called teamwork and consultancies, which consisted of:
Teamwork: The groups worked in search of the solution of the proposed challenge. The proposals were developed and presented in an agile project methodology, plus a presentation before the jury.
Counseling: Mentors will accompany the process carried out by the work teams under work tools designed for the Quick Inn.
During the day, Nilson Vera from the Medellín Crea Laboratory, Mauricio Mosquera from the UNAD School of Music, Dace Kiulina Cultural Manager of Latvia in Tunisia Ruta Naranja de Ruta N were invited and additionally the attendees had the guidance of experts and mentors to the development of the exercise, during the event the teachers Claudia María Gómez Serna, Sara Melguizo Tamayo from the Faculty of Business Sciences and Silvia Marcela Henao Villa and Boris Mauricio Revelo from the Faculty of Engineering of our institution participated as mentors in the ideation, modeling phase and prototyping in technologies of the 4.0 revolution.
The following juries participated in the evaluation and selection of the winners of the exercise: Nora Arango from the CVS Software Valley Centers, Paul Tamayo Hub of SENA Innovation, María Mercedes Jaramillo Ruta Naranja, who took into account the following criteria:
1) Originality, innovation of the proposed solution
2) Market
3) Technical feasibility of the proposal
4) Sustainability of the proposed business model
5) Presentation quality (From the Canvas)
And who granted the recognition as winners of the virtual Quick Inn 2021 to the members of the Enfocados proposal of the University of Medellín: Valentina Gómez Valencia, José David Correa Duque, Mónica Alejandra Barrera Cano, Karen Alexandra Urrea Coronado and Daniel Alejandro Torres Díaz.
The exercise allowed attendees to generate ideas of value from city challenges in which 4.0 solutions were sought and found to impact the cultural and creative industries of the region.
