Teacher, Viviana Caicedo Delgado, was awarded by the Network of Universities of Huila for her commitment, leadership, support and continuous work as leader of the University Wellbeing Department board of this network that works for the accompaniment and quality of life of the youth in the different HEI (Higher Education Institutions) of the region; where The Maria Cano is an essential part with an action according to the national guidelines that are provided by the main Campus in the city of Medellin, in the strategic lines of health, sport, culture, physical activity, human development and socioeconomic promotion, which seeks to prioritize the welfare of students and their families to ensure a continuous work around the training process.

The main purpose of the Huila Universities Network is to join forces among higher education institutions to formulate research, outreach and continuing education projects that benefit the region. As well as Network, to participate in the different processes, as the formulation of the Development Plans for the next period at departmental and municipal level, but also, in an articulated way to present offers to sale some services supported academically, technically and scientifically by each one of the institutions.
