Reflections of young researchers from Cauca

In the auditorium of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences of the University of Cauca, the launch of the book «Reflections of the projects of Young Researchers and Innovators in the Department of Cauca 2022» of the Uniautónoma del Cauca publishing house was held. In this work there are thirty reflections such as research results, data, experiences and other advances achieved in their research projects, of the young researchers of the first cohort of the Young Researchers and Innovators Project in the Department of Cauca, which was financed by the General System of Royalties and the Government of Cauca and executed by the University of Cauca, in alliance with the Autonomous University Corporation of Cauca, the María Cano University Foundation, Popayán campus, the Cauca sectional Cooperative University of Colombia, the Comfacauca University Corporation, the Colegio Mayor del Cauca University Institution, the Higher School of Public Administration (ESAP) and the Regional Center for Productivity and Innovation of Cauca (CREPIC).
This work seeks to become a motivation for other young people to continue developing science that allows generating solutions to real problems for our department and that can contribute to the country’s problems. For the María Cano University Foundation, Popayán campus, it is a source of pride to be part of this initiative with two chapters presented by its graduates from the Popayán campus physiotherapy program: «Frequent clinical manifestations in post covid-19 syndrome and the need to approach it from the cardiopulmonary rehabilitation» by the young researcher, María Alejandra Orozco Torres, and her tutor Elizabeth Roldán González, and the work called «Physical activity, physical exercise and healthy eating as a prevention and treatment strategy for the increasing rates of childhood overweight and obesity» by the young researcher Nataly Andrea Orozco Bolaños and her Tutors Elizabeth Roldán González and María Fernanda Ortiz Cabrera.
