The María Cano University Foundation, by virtue of the university autonomy that has been granted by the National Constitution and Law 30 of 1992, structures the Code of Ethics and Good Governance, integrates the principles and ethical standards necessary for the fulfillment of its Mission , continuous improvement in the quality of its work, guarantee transparency in its administrative functions, respect the rights of all members of the university community and contribute to the well-being of society through its social impact actions.
This Code preserves ethics and declares transparency and efficiency in institutional management, in accordance with its strategic guidelines, the institutional management model and in accordance with the provisions of the General Statute. It is a declaration of principles and guidelines on building trust, transparency in management and institutional accountability.
Likewise, the implementation of the Code of Ethics and Good Governance will help the Institution develop an internal climate of clear and precise rules that transparently define the expectations of conduct of the members of the university community and its collegiate governing bodies, generating a unified management style of behaviors that promote internal trust among the members of the Institution and with the different stakeholders, increasing credibility and strengthening the organizational culture aimed at meeting its objectives.
The implementation of the Code of Ethics and Good Governance requires the leadership of the collegiate bodies, the directives and the collaborators, in each of their roles, so that the strategic relationship of these instances promotes a strengthened organizational culture, which is valued by the society.
