The recognition of the research work of the professionals assigned to The Maria Cano continues. On this occasion the good news comes from Psique y Sociedad group, thanks to the commitment and dedication of Professor Diana Vanessa Vivares Porras. Two articles of her research work were published in scientific journals: the first one is in the magazine Utopía y Praxis Latinoamericana located in quartile 3 (Q3) according to Scimago Journal & Country Rank, and the second one is in EL ÁGORA USB classified in category B according to Publindex database.

These classifications place both publications as «TYPE A» products, something very desirable for the future classification of our group «Psique y Sociedad«.

Epistemology for illness. PSI knowledge, authority and expertise in madness

Description: the text makes a criticism of the way in which the psi sciences (psychology, neuropsychology, psychiatry and psychoanalysis) have understood madness through modern discourse and proposes the challenge of making new methodological approaches and new proposals for theoretical understanding, all of which is transversalized by an ethical-political reflection and, in this sense, moving from an objective conception of madness to the attempt to be understood as a social construction.

Journal: EL ÁGORA USB Social Science Journal (classified by the Colombian National Bibliographic Index as a type B Social Science Journal)

Description: the text, through a critical reflection, shows a significant distance between what state intervention programs require from psychology professionals and what they choose to do in their work, considering the marked difficulty for psychologists and also state initiatives to build knowledge and actions from the perspective where the population affected by socio-political conflict can have a voice that is heard.
