Result of the young researchers and innovators project from Huila

The young researcher María Helena Audor González and the researchers Piedad Rocío Lerma Castaño, from the Neiva site, and Elizabeth Roldan González, from the Popayán site, members of the Fisioter group, publish a research article resulting from the project: “Effects of physical exercise on the overweight and obesity of girls and boys of the public Educational Institutions of Neiva” developed within the framework of the 856 call for young researchers and innovators of the Department of Huila 2019, an internship scholarship that allowed the young researcher to develop skills in Science Technology and Innovation under the direction of researchers Piedad Rocío Lerma Castaño and Elizabeth Roldán González.
The article entitled «Effects of Physical Exercise on the Body Composition and Conditional Physical Capacities of School Children During Confinement by COVID-19» is published in the Global Pediatric Health journal, categorized as Q2 in the SCIMAGO Indexing System.
This result is a clear example of the importance of research training in our institution, through the different academic training spaces such as research hotbeds, classroom research, degree projects, in their different modalities, which They make it easier for our graduates to participate in calls such as those for young researchers that seek to promote a scientific vocation and the development of research skills in young professionals.
