Scholarship teachers in courses with Harvard University
- 31 mayo, 2023

Six professors from the María Cano University Foundation, affiliated with the faculties of health sciences and business sciences, received scholarships to carry out continuous training courses online, with one of the most prestigious institutions in the world, Harvard University. This benefit occurs within the framework of the alliances that the Institution has with different actors on the international stage, which benefit the university community. This work seeks to strengthen the glocal educational competencies of the teaching team, as established in the internationalization model of the institutional curriculum, which exalts the fundamental role of teaching for the integration of glocal and intercultural dynamics in the curriculum.
The professors with scholarships and the courses that are developed are: Gabriel Jaime Saldarriaga Ruiz, assigned to health sciences, with the course Strengthening community health worker programs; Natalia Gómez Cardona, from the psychology program, with training in Improving your business through a culture of health; Greiss Lizeth Sarmiento Barrera, specializing in Occupational Health and Safety Management, with the Leaders of learning program; and Professor María Cristina Osorio Soto, from the same postgraduate course, with the course Exercising leadership: foundational principles.
In the Faculty of Business Sciences, the benefited teachers are: John Heber Pérez Álvarez with the Managing Happiness course and Paola Andrea Diaz Garcés with the academic training in Remote work a revolution for everyone.
These programs have an approximate value of one thousand dollars each, which could represent a weighting of six thousand dollars, with professionals and their students benefiting the most from the acquisition of knowledge that will enrich and strengthen the training processes at María Cano. From this learning opportunity, teachers continue to train to provide the best quality to students from different academic programs, broadening their perspectives with an international focus.
