Seed growers from the Neiva headquarters are trained in Science, Technology and Innovation

Within the framework of the Knowledge Management project, the first initiative to strengthen formative research in the department of Huila and at the country level, recognized by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, and which is financed with royalty resources for its execution from the National strategic line of Social Appropriation and the research seedbed strategy seeks to develop in students of different university academic programs, an investigative culture oriented to the construction of Science, Technology and Innovation (CTeI).
By strengthening the capacities in Science, Technology and Innovation of the research seedbeds linked to the Higher Education Institutions of the department of Huila, in this second phase the María Cano University Foundation participated with 27 seedlings and 2 research teachers: Maira Alejandra Camargo Valderrama and Piedad Rocío Lerma Castaño who were trained in Science, Technology and Innovation with the following topics:
- National System of Science, Technology and Innovation.
- Search and analysis of scientific information in the construction of diagnoses and problems with citizen participation.
- Formulation and execution of projects with citizen participation: generation of proposals to diagnose problems.
- Strategies for the development of activities of social appropriation of knowledge: awareness, understanding and application of research results.
It should be noted that the María Cano University Foundation took an active part in the I phase developed in 2017 in the training strategies in CTeI with the participation of 4 seed students and 2 research teachers Gladys Tamayo Perdomo and Piedad Rocío Lerma.
