Speech therapy with international projection and strengthening

The academic programs of Speech Therapy of the María Cano University Foundation, the University of Cauca and the University of Valle have come together to organize the National Virtual Meeting «Research and experiences in Academic and Scientific Reading and Writing: Challenges and opportunities for Speech Therapy», which will take place on September 8, 2021 in virtual and free mode.
The objective of the event is to contribute to the discussion around the theoretical constructs and the methodological routes assumed from Speech Therapy to carry out research and professional intervention experiences on academic and scientific reading and writing, with a view to analyzing their curricular implications for Speech Therapy Programs. The event will feature the participation, as central speakers, of Professor Rita Flórez, associated with the Department of Human Communication of the Faculty of Medicine of the National University of Colombia and of Dr. Elizabet Narváez Cardona – Professor, researcher and consultant on language , communication, writing and education. Head of the Department of Education of the Autonomous University of the West, Cali – Colombia.
The Encounter is aimed at training and practicing speech therapists in the field of academic and scientific writing and others interested in learning about research trends, advances and challenges in the role of speech therapists in this field.
We also invite you to send your contributions, or to sign up for the event attendees until Wednesday, June 30. We are sure that it will be a space for professional enrichment around this topic of emerging interest for the important profession in the health area.
