Start the semester with outstanding student mobility

During the first semester of 2023, the Institution opens its doors to eight incoming, national and international exchange students, who arrive with the aim of living an academic experience that will contribute to their training as professionals with high impact, quality and glocal projection. María Cano welcomes Diana Sarai Herrera Franco from the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos in Mexico who arrives at the Speech Pathology program at the Medellín campus; Brighyt Stefany Echeverria Hernández, Anyil Cristina Yáñez Palacios who will be in the Physiotherapy program at the Medellín campus, as well as Laura Alejandra López Corzo for the Business Administration program in the virtual modality, from the University of Santander; Nathalia Elysa Rincón Hernández, Verónica Patricia Terán Gámez and Linda Carolina Hernández Mercado are from the University of Pamplona and will be in the Speech Pathology program at the Medellín campus; Finally, Jairo Alberto Arboleda Peláez from the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia will be in the Psychology program.
The students were received in a welcome meeting in which institutional directors participated, who explained to them the importance of the experience they will have during this semester: Jorge Albeiro Herrera Builes, Academic Vice-Chancellor and Administrative Vice-Chancellor (e); Carlos Julio Escobar Noreña, Vice Chancellor for Extension and Social Projection; Amilbia Palacios Córdoba, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences; Juanita Sánchez Romero, Director of Physiotherapy; María Tatiana Ramírez Lozano, Director of Phonoaudiology (e); Andrés Felipe Londoño Vélez, Director of Psychology; Marco Antonio Ruiz Correa, Dean of the Faculty of Business Sciences, Víctor Hugo Monsalve Manco, Director of Business Administration; Elkin Antonio Restrepo Escobar, Director of Public Accounting; Nadya María Sierra Noreña, Human Development Coordinator and Tatiana Isabel Fontalvo Grueso, Head of International Relations.
In this way, María Cano promotes student academic mobility, meeting the objectives set in terms of internationalization of higher education in the Institution, one of the goals outlined in the institutional development plan.
