As part of the strategies to strengthen inter-institutional relations with different entities and educational institutions in the region, a working group was held aimed at rectors, coordinators and school counselors, with the purpose of socializing the work carried out by María Cano and the benefits offered as an Institution of Higher Education. The headquarters coordinator, Diana María Salazar Rojas, was the host of the activity, in which important topics were discussed in search of the promotion of agreements that benefit the students of these schools.

During the visit, the presentation of the major institutional goals, the socialization of the strategic lines linked to academic quality, relationship with the environment and administrative management was included, as well as the progress of María Cano in recent years, with a view to fulfilling with all the work projected in the Development Plan 2017 – 2026 called «Building the Future» and the challenges that are assumed each term through the formulation of Institutional Action Plans, where the teamwork of the different institutional subsystems, allows reaching the positioning in each of the regions where it is present to achieve what is embodied in the mission and institutional vision.

As he passed through the different spaces of the Institution in the capital of Huila, the adequacy of the different physical spaces, investment in technology, work to consolidate national coverage was evidenced; where the institutional portfolio in undergraduate, graduate and continuing education was the protagonist. The importance of bilingualism, the actions and proposals of the Language Center, the attention to graduates, the strategies and programs available for this purpose generated by the Institution were also discussed.
From the southern region of Colombia, María Cano confirms its commitment to quality and the development of the country.
