Strengthening international research in María Cano

Between the months of June and August, the María Cano University Foundation will have the participation of five students from the cities of Barranquilla, Bogotá and Manizales and from the country of Mexico to participate in the XXVII Summer of Scientific and Technological Research of the Pacific promoted to through the Dolphin Program, to which the Institution is linked, with the aim of consolidating cooperation projects in the line of international scientific production. The visitors are: Crista Vega Sanmartín, from the Reformed University Corporation; Gabriela Tovar Guerrero, from the Autonomous University of Manizales; and David Aarón Bujanda Sandoval, from the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez; who will be in the face-to-face modality. There will also be the participation, under the virtual modality, of Kelly Alejandra Palma Gómez and Mayra Alejandra Marín Aguirre, from the Andean Area University Foundation. During their research stay, students will contribute to the development of research projects led by professors of Physiotherapy and Speech Therapy at the Medellín campus.
The students were received in a welcome meeting, in which the institutional directors participated, in a space of knowledge and awareness, where the commitment of María Cano and the students to the strengthening of international research was evidenced. The following participated in this first relationship work: Carlos Julio Escobar Noreña, Vice President for Outreach and Social Projection; Jorge Albeiro Herrera Builes, Academic Vice President; Andrés Gutiérrez Villa, Administrative Vice President; Nelson Alberto Rúa Ceballos, Director of the Center for Business Research and Development; Amilbia Palacios Córdoba, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences; Juanita Sánchez Romero, Director of the Physiotherapy program; Belkis Lorena Torres Osorio, Director of the Speech Therapy Program; Catalina Lopera Muñetón, Sebastián Grajales Toro, Juan Sebastián Valencia Valencia, professors of Physiotherapy; Natalia Hernández Garzón, Professor of Speech Therapy; Elizabeth Roldán González, Researcher and Technical Advisor of the Institution before the Dolphin Program; as well as Tatiana Isabel Fontalvo Grueso, Head of International Relations.
The María Cano opens its doors for the continuous strengthening of academic and research activities for the constant qualification of new professionals who prepare for the challenges of Colombia and the world.
