Successful Entrepreneurs Fair

The María Cano University Foundation held the Entrepreneurship Fair with great success, an event that had significant participation of students, graduates, employees and families of employees of the Institution, which shows the positive impact on the María Cano community in strengthening the entrepreneurial culture. and innovative.
At the main Medellín headquarters, 37 people located in the main square and third floor participated. During the tour, the different initiatives with artisanal, industrialized and technological products were evident. Also, it was evident that there were around 1,000 attendees who toured the stands and supported the entrepreneurs with their purchases.
The Neiva headquarters had the participation of around 30 Startups of students, graduates and special guests. During this day it was attended by the academic community where around 150 attendees were engaged in the activities carried out. With the purpose of strengthening the Entrepreneurial culture, two talks were held with the presence of Niyireth Capera Espitia, Director of Management and Business Support INCET with the talk Leadership and Expansion and Orlando Parga Rivas, Secretary of Education of the Department of Huila with his talk Entrepreneurial Education.
The Popayán headquarters held its fair on May 16, with 21 enterprises participating, allowing attendees to enjoy a wide variety of items made with talent and creativity in perfumes, shirts and sportswear, swimsuits and pajamas, bags and pins, as well as skin care, jewelry and baking products. The event brought together a large number of students, graduates and the SENA Emprender Fund program who had the opportunity to show and sell their products to the public.
The fair was a resounding success, not only because of the quality of the products offered, but also because of the enthusiasm and passion of the María Cano entrepreneurs. These young talents demonstrated their ability to innovate, create and materialize their ideas, making it an inspiring experience for all attendees. On the other hand, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit, through its relationship with institutions, managed to link three entrepreneurs to the Polypreneur Fair held on May 15 and 16 at the Facilities of the Jaime Isaza Cadavid Colombian Polytechnic.
The institution’s Entrepreneurs’ Fair is consolidated as a platform for the dissemination, promotion and support of entrepreneurs to strengthen their productive units. Additionally, the Innovation Unit developed three training workshops on topics such as Lean Canvas, Business Plan and Financial Model to strengthen entrepreneurial skills and capabilities for all registered and participants.
