In the first session, the presentation “A new world: digital technologies challenge modern psychology” was presented, which undoubtedly set the tone for an important thematic line and a masterful level of the chair. In the activity, more than 1,500 people were connected live and during the first 48 hours of being located on social networks, it has had more than 6,362 reproductions by students, teachers, managers and psychology professionals at a national and international level.
On its website, ASCOFAPSI highlights the importance of this academic activity in the following way:
- Promote curricular flexibility among Psychology Programs and generate extracurricular training spaces through a chair that presents the significant developments and advances of Colombian Psychology, with current topics and interest for teachers, graduates and professionals in general.
- Strengthen networking between member universities of the Colombian Association of Psychology Faculties – ASCOFAPSI.
- Generate an academic space for dissemination and discussion among students, teachers, graduates and professionals of Psychology and other disciplines around psychosocial intervention.
- Reflect and critically analyze the current state and advances of Psychology in Colombia in the work of the psychologist when intervening psychosocially.
- Create a series of books that, based on the memoirs of the chair, provide the academic community and the general public with the knowledge and reflections discussed in its development.
