It is an initiative created by the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Unit of the María Cano University Foundation, in which the students who participate in the Café Emprende workshop provide feedback on their entrepreneurial projects, explaining how their business ideas have been carried out and What are your expectations for the future? In this meeting, the participants presented the explanation of their work proposals, related to the program they are currently studying at María Cano, as a way to enhance the knowledge acquired to be generators of companies. Among the participants is the student Oscar Gómez Gutiérrez who is carrying out a project on the re-signification of the elderly, Jannabeth Quiñones also participated, presenting her project on Dermo-Aesthetic Physiotherapy, Alejandra Giraldo with the SPA project at home, Yirlean Mena Zapata with the project of a travel agency that will be called «Chocotropical», Juan José Romero who presented the «Olympus» project, and the student Daniel López, creator of the «Fisioolimpic» project. Teachers Felipe Crespo also participated in the activity with their proposal on the creation of artificial intelligence software; and Ángela María Silva who leads a project on conscious parenting.

The work carried out in the Café Emprende Workshop is led, at the Cali headquarters, by the teacher Leidy Tatiana Ordoñez Mora, with the collaboration of the teacher Maryuri Motato Carvajal and the participation of the coordinator Néstor Alonso Perlaza Ruiz, and also has the linking of teachers who are part of the María Cano community with the aim of establishing a pleasant space in which to discuss and learn about ideas and business projects of the students and teachers of the Institution.

In this first meeting, the teacher and speaker Nelson Andrade shared with the students a method used to generate business models called Business Model Canvas, which allows entrepreneurs to organize and analyze ideas in a practical and simple way to create a New business. Carrying out this exercise is contemplated in the work plan generated from the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management at the Cali headquarters in order to achieve strengthening in these areas, instructing and accompanying the students of María Cano in the construction and consolidation of your projects.

The Café Emprende Workshop will be held fortnightly starting in June, with the aim of providing the necessary support for the university community to continue developing their business ideas and successfully consolidate them in the market.
