In order to strengthen institutional alliances and within the framework of the organization of the II International Congress on Physical Activity, which will be led by Popayan campus of The Maria Cano during 2020, coordinator Angelica Maria Zuluaga Calle led a meeting with the new manager of the Departmental Institute of Sports – INDEPORTES CAUCA – Mr. Oliver Carabali, where the scope of the academic program, the contributions of the work done and the training for the southwestern Colombia were analyzed, while the benefits of having the visit of nationally and internationally recognized professionals were presented.

INDEPORTES CAUCA contributes to the social and human development of the department, generating better welfare conditions through the promotion of physical and sports culture as a fundamental discipline in the formation and enrichment of people and use of free time. In its institutional vision for 2021 it seeks to be a solid Institute recognized by its good name at a Departmental and National level, by its efficiency and effectiveness in social and human development, in the integral formation of sportsmen, contributing to the strengthening of sport, recreation, physical education and physical activity of Caucanos.
