The María Cano University Foundation strengthens its cooperation work with Spain

The Institution, at its Medellín headquarters, received the visit of Dr. Marisa González, General Director of the Higher Institute of Psychological Studies, with the purpose of discussing cooperation actions for the benefit of both academic communities, through intercultural exchange. Possibilities of joint continuing education, organization of international congresses and complementary double degrees were reviewed. This meeting was attended by the Rector, Hugo Alberto Valencia Porras; the Vice Chancellor of Extension and Social Projection, Carlos Julio Escobar Noreña; the Director of the Psychology program, Andrés Felipe Londoño Vélez; and the Head of International Relations, Tatiana Isabel Fontalvo Grueso.
The Higher Institute of Psychological Studies – ISEP – is an institution with an international vocation that welcomes students from more than 30 countries each year and maintains multiple international collaboration agreements and conventions. It has 40 years of experience in the higher education sector, 3 offices in the cities of Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia and more than 35,000 professionals trained in the fields of Clinical Psychology, Education, Speech Therapy and Neuroscience.
In this way, María Cano advances in the fulfillment of the goals outlined in the Development Plan 2017 – 2026 «Building the Future» where international relations and access to training provided by institutions in other countries is essential for the new professionals who are at the service of the country, have a glocal knowledge, which allows them to know the new trends in the world, to apply them to the needs of each region.
