The María Cano University Foundation was re-elected to the RECLA Executive Committee

The Institution participated in the XV International Meeting of the Continuing Education Network of Latin America and Europe – RECLA, which had as its central axis: Digital Evolution of Continuing Education, a Humanist and Sustainable View. The activity took place in the city of Monterrey – Mexico and was organized by the Tecnológico de Monterrey and the Autonomous University of Nuevo León. The institutional participation was in charge of the directors Jorge Albeiro Herrera Builes, Academic Vice Chancellor; and Carlos Julio Escobar Noreña, Vice Chancellor of Extension and Social Projection, where it is highlighted that María Cano was appointed to be president of the Annual General Assembly of Associates of the Network.
During this work of international projection, the Institution submitted to an election in order to participate in the Executive Committee, which is configured as the highest management and direction body of the Network, where it will share space with the representatives of other 6 Ibero-American HEIs such as the Tecnológico de Monterrey and the Universidad Popular Autónoma Estado de Puebla in Mexico; the Central University of Catalonia, the University of Vic Campus Manresa of Spain; the University of La Sabana in Colombia; the Alberto Hurtado University in Chile and the Ricardo Palma University in Peru.
A total of 318 representatives of higher education institutions participated in the International Meeting (205 face-to-face and 113 virtual), belonging to 15 countries, there were 20 speakers of different nationalities, 6 central conferences, 6 parallel workshops, 8 conference sessions, academic cases and 3 panels on current issues for the future of continuing education in Latin America and Europe, which will allow María Cano to focus on the path of excellence and constant quality.
The Continuing Education Network of Latin America and Europe – RECLA is a university cooperation network whose objective is to generate spaces for debate and reflection on trends, projections and the future of continuing education, strengthen the management processes of the units of continuous education of its associates, promote the design and development of cooperation programs among its associates, with other networks and organizations in the higher education sector.
RECLA contributes by facilitating networking and internationalization, sharing experiences and good practices and providing access to new knowledge, all within a framework of coexistence of people and institutions that ensure powerful long-term links.
