The María Cano University Foundation, at its headquarters located in the capital of Valle del Cauca, hosted the monthly meeting of the Colombian Network of Higher Education Institutions and Health-Promoting Universities – RedCups Valle node. The organization was founded in 2010, inspired by the international movement of Health-Promoting Universities, as a result of an inter-institutional collaborative process energized by the then Healthy University Program of the Vice-Rector for the University Environment of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Bogotá.

The María Cano, with the aim of achieving a greater participation of the Cali headquarters in activities created for the development of education and health at the regional level, opens its doors to the RedCups meeting in which the main objective of work is , carry out a socialization, discussion and feedback of the improvement projections in the region. This event was carried out with the intention of generating spaces for reflection and actions aimed at promoting health in the different educational environments at the local and departmental level.

The activity included the face-to-face and virtual participation of various representatives of the municipal and departmental health secretariats and higher education institutions such as the San Martín University Foundation, the Santiago de Cali University, the National Sports School and the University Foundation. María Cano, with the representation of the coordinator Néstor Alonso Perlaza Ruiz and the collaborator Ángela María Silva.
