Within the framework of the Dignity guideline, the Metropolitan Police of the Valle de Aburrá held the 2025 Excellence Awards, an event that recognized and highlighted, across seven categories, the outstanding work of male and female police officers who make a significant contribution to building a safer territory.
The ceremony was supported by the Mayor’s Office of Medellín, the Secretariat of Security and Coexistence, municipal administrations, higher education institutions, and strategic partners, who joined efforts to showcase the commitment, vocation of service, and professionalism of police personnel.

As part of the academic partners, the María Cano University Foundation took part in this important event by offering 13 scholarships covering 30% of tuition, granted to the recognized police officers to pursue studies along the B1 pathway and to receive English-language training through Pearson’s Mondly platform, thereby strengthening the academic and linguistic competencies of the institution’s personnel.
This recognition reaffirms the importance of coordinated efforts among public institutions, the education sector, and strategic partners in promoting dignity, professional development, and the well-being of those who safeguard public safety.
