In its commitment to promote access to higher education and strengthen professional qualification in the department of Cauca, Fundación Universitaria María Cano continues to consolidate strategic alliances with various institutions. These meetings aim not only to improve the quality of academic training but also to generate development opportunities for different sectors of society.
On this occasion, an important meeting was held at the Popayán campus with Mr. Víctor Armando Martínez, coordinator of the Territorial Renewal Agency (ART) Subregion Alto Patía and North Cauca, and Nilson Prado, representative of organizations of victims of the armed conflict from the Pacific Coast. The main purpose of this meeting was to coordinate comprehensive actions between the public, private, community, and academic sectors, to structure strategies focused on the social and educational development of the populations in Cauca, Valle del Cauca, and Nariño.
During the meeting, various initiatives were explored to facilitate access to quality education for historically vulnerable communities, promoting processes of inclusion, training, and capacity building in key areas for regional development. Fundación Universitaria María Cano reaffirms its interest in being a key player in the social and productive transformation processes of southwestern Colombia.
These types of alliances strengthen the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and social responsibility, allowing students, teachers, and communities to benefit from training programs tailored to the needs and challenges of the region. María Cano will continue working on consolidating strategic agreements to strengthen the impact of higher education in the region, providing tools and knowledge that drive human talent and the sustainable growth of communities. #MásMaríaCano
