The Maria Cano participated in the meeting led by ASCUN, hosted by La Sabana University, to discuss the 2020 action plan of the Observatory Network for University Social Responsibility – ORSU (by its acronym in Spanish). In this space we intend to develop three major strategic lines such as conceptual development, impact and communications, and visibility. The accompaniment of the Ministry of National Education – MEN in the formulation of a policy for the sector is among the projects to be carried out.

The ORSU – ASCUN is a space par excellence to contrast the exercises of Social Responsibility that are executed in the main institutions of the country, which become important references for the implementation of the policies of Extension and Social Projection of The Maria Cano and the emerging policy of University Social Responsibility.

The Maria Cano University Foundation is also part of the six institutions that are founding the Antioquia node of ORSU. Besides The Maria Cano, the following institutions are part of the new node: Universidad de Antioquia, Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, Universidad CES, Universidad Autónoma Latinoamericana, Universidad Católica de Oriente.
