VIII Meeting of significant practices REPPSI

Professionals in training from the Psychology program of the María Cano University Foundation, at the Medellín campus, who are carrying out their professional practice at the Marco Fidel Suarez Hospital in the municipality of Bello, north of the capital of Antioquia, represented the program and the Institution, at the VIII Meeting of Significant Practices of the Network of Psychology Practices – REPPSI – Antioquia Node, with his presentation «Psychology of palliative care and psycho-affective accompaniment to patients with human immunodeficiency virus HIV – AIDS, a humanizing experience of life at the ESE Hospital Marco Fidel Suárez”.
This meeting is held annually and different members of the prominent psychology programs in the region participate in it, attached to the Internship Network, which belongs to ASCOFAPSI, with the aim of presenting to the whole society the actions they carry out to protect well-being and the health of the community, thanks to the knowledge acquired during their academic training and their passage through the different practice scenarios, where they have direct contact with patients and the needs they face on a daily basis.
The Psychology program of the María Cano University Foundation, through its students and teachers, is present at this event, to publicize its experiences from practice and learn how this important profession impacts and contributes to the community in the search for well-being and health of the entire population.
The Network of Professional Practices convenes the Coordinators responsible for the practices in the Psychology programs and offers support to structure, evaluate and monitor both the scenarios and the supervisors and students.
