María Cano receives the virtual visit of the Icontec Auditor, Julián Esteban Ramírez Velásquez, on June 25 and 26, which aims to verify compliance with the ISO 9001: 2015 standard in relation to the design, planning and development of the provision of the higher education service, in the missionary axis of teaching, for the Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels, face-to-face and virtual, in the areas of knowledge in Health Sciences, Business Sciences and Engineering. During the two days, in the virtual modality, the compliance of the management system with the requirements of the management system standard will be determined; The capacity of the management system to ensure that the organization complies with the legal, regulatory and contractual requirements applicable to the scope of the management system and the standard of management requirements will be analyzed; The effectiveness of the management system will be measured to ensure that the organization can have reasonable expectations regarding the fulfillment of the specified objectives and will identify areas for potential improvement in the management system.

In 2019, the María Cano University Foundation received recertification, for a period of three years, from the Colombian Institute of Technical Standards and Certification – ICONTEC -, thus evidencing compliance with the requirements of the NTC ISO 9001 standard in 2015. This recognition strengthens the quality processes of the Institution and guides the action for the certification of the entire quality management system in the Medellín, Cali, Neiva and Popayán offices; which is considered as a strategic goal of the Institutional Development Plan. During the years that comprise the certification, the institutional directives will advance in the consolidation of the culture of the processes and the continuous improvement, with a view to providing, increasingly, an excellent service to the users.
