Visit of academic peers from the Ministry of Education

The María Cano University Foundation receives academic peers, Lida Marcela Moreno Espinosa and Jorge Enrique Espíndola Díaz, who verify the quality conditions for the opening of the «Technology in Implementation of Digital Solutions» program, led by the Faculty of Engineering. This academic proposal aims to train technologists capable of executing digital solutions within the framework of digital transformation processes in organizations, contributing to productivity, based on software developments and concepts of innovation and creativity.
It is important to mention that, once the program is completed, the technology graduate will have an entrepreneurial and creative vision to facilitate and support: innovation and digital transformation, the adoption of technologies, understanding of the expectations, needs and opportunities of users. clients from a technical perspective, the implementation and maintenance of IT infrastructure, among others.
The visit is received by the academic vice-rector, Jorge Albeiro Herrera Builes, the director of Planning and Quality, María Leidy Jiménez Sánchez; as well as the director of the Software Engineering program, Silvia Marcela Henao Villa. Academic peers stand out for their academic training and experience in higher education. Lida Marcela Moreno Espinosa is a Systems Engineer with an emphasis in Telecommunications from the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia, she is a Specialist in Computer Management from the Remington University Corporation, she has a Master’s degree in Computer Security from the International University of La Rioja, while at the same time she has worked as a teacher at the Tolima Institution of Professional Technical Training of Tolima.
Mr. Jorge Enrique Espíndola Díaz is a Systems Engineer from the EAN University, he is a specialist in Telematics Solutions from the Autonomous University, a Master in Information and Communications Sciences from the District University, he has a doctorate in Space Engineering and Technology from the University of São José dos Campos in Brazil, while having important work experience as a professor at the Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia.
