The María Cano University Foundation advances in its quality process; On March 3, 4 and 5, the Institution receives the visit of the academic peers of the Ministry of National Education, Ivaldo Torres Chávez, Henry Orlado Luna, Ana Lucia Rosero and Jesús Leonardo Lara, who will verify the institutional conditions of María Cano in the departments of Valle del Cauca and Cauca; within the framework of decree 1330 of the year 2019 that establishes the set of articulated, interdependent, dynamic attributes, built by the academic community as references and that respond to social, cultural and environmental demands.

This serious work, organized and framed in strict quality parameters, will make it possible to measure and verify the actions of María Cano in order to promote its transformation and the permanent development of its training, academic, teaching, scientific, cultural and extension work. . The visit is received virtually, taking into account the biosafety regulations that have been established by the National Government of the Republic of Colombia to ensure the well-being and health care of the community, in the face of the pandemic generated by the covid -19.

The rector Hugo Alberto Valencia Porras, the vice rectors Jorge Albeiro Herrera Builes and Carlos Julio Escobar Noreña, the director of Planning and Quality, Julia Milena Soto Montoya, the coordinators of the Cali and Popayán branches, Néstor Alonso Perlaza Ruíz and Angélica María Zuluaga Calle, They will be in charge of the different activities and meetings that will be led during the three days of work, where the Development Plan, the mechanisms for selecting and evaluating students and teachers, the culture of self-evaluation, the academic and administrative structure will be analyzed. , the institutional welfare model, the graduates model, sufficient resources to guarantee the fulfillment of the goals, meetings with students, professors and graduates, while virtual tours will be made through the different spaces of the headquarters that are at the service of the university community.
