Visit of the Autonomous University of Querétaro

Internationalization is the process that fosters the ties of cooperation and integration of institutions with their peers in other parts of the world. The Popayán headquarters of the María Cano University Foundation receives the professor and physiotherapist Karina González Zúñiga from the Autonomous University of Querétaro – UAQ with the aim of expanding the institutional culture, improving the quality of the teaching and research offer, expanding coverage, international projection and the use of academic, administrative and research opportunities are the central axes of the visit. The Physiotherapy, Phonoaudiology and Nutrition and Dietetics programs were impacted on the work agenda.
The Autonomous University of Querétaro – UAQ, is a Mexican public university with its central campus in Santiago de Querétaro. It is the largest and most important in the State of Querétaro and was founded on February 24, 1951 as a result of the closure of the Old Civil College, it obtained autonomy on February 5, 1959. Its mission is: «To participate positively in the development of the State of Querétaro and the country through providing education in its different types and modalities of the upper secondary and higher level».
The Mexican institution has more than 28,000 students and an educational offer that includes 13 Faculties, 53 Bachelors, 13 Engineering, 49 Masters, 14 Doctorates and 33 Specialties.
In this way, María Cano is increasingly committed to the internationalization of knowledge, the projection of higher education and the preparation of professionals to meet the needs of a globalized world.
