As part of the 21st Departmental Meeting of Research Incubators and the 3rd Departmental Meeting of Professors and Research Leaders 2025, organized by the Colombian Network of Research Incubators RedCOLSI Huila Node, researcher Piedad Rocío Lerma Castaño, from the Neiva campus, received the «Vocation and Excellence» award. This award recognizes the committed work of professors who coordinate research incubators at higher education institutions in the department of Huila.

This recognition highlights the dedication, career, motivation, development, and inspiration that the professor brings to the training and teaching methodologies she provides at her research center «Senderos del Conocimiento,» which she has coordinated for the past 11 years at the university.

Thanks to this award, the researcher will have the opportunity to participate as a speaker at the 4th International Conference on Formative Research and Science, Technology, and Innovation, to be held at the University of Manizales on August 14, 15, and 16.
