The María Cano University Foundation received a visit from officials from the municipality of Bello, to analyze, review and consolidate the work carried out in the first semester of 2022. During the activity, the work led by IPS María Cano was presented, which benefits with health services to the university community. Special emphasis was placed on the work and care that can be conducted with students and their relatives in the first degree of consanguinity, as well as the projection that can be carried out so that the services of physiotherapy, speech therapy, psychology, general medicine, nutrition and dietetics, and the laboratories can impact the community, generating well-being.
The María Cano University Foundation thus ratifies its commitment to social projection and the implementation of programs that impact the quality of life of the communities, not only in the cities where the Institution’s headquarters are present, but also in the different municipalities. of the country, where you can reach with the services that have been provided for 35 years at the national level.
Galileo is a higher education project through which the inhabitants of Bello, a municipality located in the north of Valle de Aburrá, can access credits to improve their future, through academic programs in different educational institutions, which offer an outstanding variety of technical, technological and professional options, where people from the most vulnerable socioeconomic strata are the main beneficiaries.
