We join the process of economic reactivation of Santiago de Cali

The University Network of Entrepreneurship REUNE Chapter Valle, met with the Secretary of Economic Development of the Mayor’s Office of Santiago de Cali, regarding the process of economic reactivation of the city. The actions to be implemented for the economic reactivation of the higher education sector were analyzed together.
Mr. Jarrison Martínez, Undersecretary of Productive Services and Collaborative Commerce, presented the mapping exercise of the city’s entrepreneurship ecosystem, developed by the secretariat and provided statistical data on investment and progress in the development plan in terms of innovation and entrepreneurship. . Additionally, he invited Higher Education Institutions to join in the development of articulated processes for the aforementioned reactivation process. During the Activity, a discussion was also held with the members of the network on opinions and contributions for the reactivation of this important city in Colombia.
In addition, the proposal was presented: “Innovative and supportive Cali” business extension and cooperation strategy that envisages the participation of Higher Education Institutions in the business extension sub-line to contribute in the search for the collective well-being of the entire community.
The day allowed to establish agreements for the articulated work between the Secretary of Economic Development and the IES; where the members of REUNE in attendance pledged to share the information with the other friendly institutions in the search for the consolidation of a proposal that, in the future, will be presented to the Mayor’s Office in the search for the allocation of funds for its execution.
